Important Information about our INSURANCE SERVICES

This document provides you with information about the INSURANCE SERVICES we offer. Please use this information to assist you in deciding if our services are right for you.

1. Whose products do we offer?

We offer products from over 25 insurers for:

• Motor Vehicle
• Household
• Taxi
• Haulage
• Motor Cycle
• Property Owners
• Commercial
• Liabilities
• Fleets
• Non Standard Risks
• ex offenders with a criminal conviction
• Blocks of Flats

2. Which service will we provide you with?

We will advise and make appropriate recommendations for you after we have assessed your needs for Insurance, using our sources of over 25 insurance companies. We will ask you some questions to narrow down the product selection. You will then need to make your own choice on how to proceed.

3. Our methods of payments and discretionary charges.

• Cheque
  
  
• Three instalments for which a charge of £5 per instalment is made. This option is for annual policies only.
  
  
  • The first instalment is non refundable if the policy is cancelled in the first month.
    
    
  • The policy will be cancelled if the instalments are not made on time without our prior consent.
    
    
  • In the event of a claim before the 3rd instalment the whole premium becomes payable immediately.
  
  
• Direct Debit - up to 12 monthly payments
  
  
  • In the event of a default any shortfall becomes payable immediately. Should action be taken to reclaim any shortfall then all costs will be added to the Final balance.
    
    
  • Debit/Switch card.
    
    
  • Credit card. A 2% charge is made.
  
  
• Mid Term Policy cancellation. The equivalent of a full year' commission will be charged
  
  
• Mid Term adjustments. A charge of £5 per adjustment is made
  
  
• Instalment defaults. A charge of £10 per default is made
  
  

4. Who regulates us?

Delite Insurance Agency, 7 Livingstone Circus, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 4HA, is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Our FSA Register number is 300142.

Delite Insurance Agency is permitted to insure Non Investment type policies for Personal and Commercial client needs.

6. What to do if you have a complaint.

If you cannot settle your complaint with us you may be entitled to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Are we covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme FSCS)?

We are covered by the FSCS. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and circumstances of the claim.

Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the first £2,000 and 90% of the remainder of the claim without any upper limit. Further information about compensation scheme arrangements is available from the FSCS.
